This award recognises an individual or series of initiatives and/or programs that directly engage with community stakeholders to deliver an economic, social and public benefit.

 

Excellence in Social Responsibility

This award recognises businesses and/or organisations that demonstrate social responsibility in the development of a project or in the course of their business.

 

Excellence in Sustainability

This award recognises a project, initiative or product that demonstrates best practise sustainability in design, engineering, construction, building supplies or product development.

 

Excellence in Industry Leadership

This award recognises a corporate initiative that demonstrates industry leadership in the pursuit of workplace diversity, environmental responsibility, philanthropic contribution or public policy.

Excellence in Design Innovation

This award recognises innovation in project design through architecture, urban design, construction, engineering or landscape architecture.

 

Excellence in Construction Innovation

This award recognises innovative products, materials, systems or technologies within the building and / or construction sector.

 

Excellence in Commercial Innovation

This award recognises a commercial innovation that provides an alternate solution to the way that business is conducted, such as new business models, deal structures, financial products and organisational, corporate or legal structures.

 

Excellence in Project Marketing

This award recognises excellence in the sales and marketing of a new development project.

Best Public Relations Campaign

This award recognises excellence in publicity, public relations and/or communication for either a project or corporate purpose.

 

Best New Building Product

This award recognises an innovative building and/or construction product within the property industry.

 

Best New PropTech

This award recognises a disruptive technology, platform or software within the property industry.

 

Best New Communal Space

This award recognises excellence in the development of communal spaces within a new project.

 

 

DEVELOPMENT OF THE YEAR AWARDS

 

Development of the Year - New Communities

This award recognises excellence in the development of masterplanned communities in the built-form and/or land estates sector.

The award is open to projects that comprise more than 100 residential dwellings across a single or multiple stages.

This award is open to land subdivisions, small lot and/or townhouse projects.

Development of the Year - High-Density Residential

This award recognises excellence in the development of high-density residential projects in urban locations.

The award is open to single and multi-stage projects that exceed 100 dwellings (units) and/or 10 storeys (height).

Development of the Year - Medium-Density Residential

This award recognises excellence in the development of medium-density residential projects in urban and suburban locations.

The award is open to single-stage projects of between 20 and 100 dwellings (units and/or townhouses) and up to 10 storeys (height).

 

Development of the Year - Small-Scale Residential (4-20)

This award recognises excellence in the development of boutique in-fill residential projects in urban and suburban locations.

The award is open to single-stage projects of between 4 and 20 dwellings (houses, units and/or townhouses) and up to 4 storeys (height).

Development of the Year - Small-Scale Residential (1-3)

This award recognises excellence in the development of boutique in-fill residential projects in urban and suburban locations.

The award is open to single-stage projects of between 1 and 3 dwellings (houses, units and/or townhouses) and up to 4 storeys (height).

Development of the Year - Urban Regeneration

This award recognises excellence in the restoration and/or adaptive re-use of existing heritage buildings and precincts.

The award is open to projects of all sizes, scales and sectors.

 

Development of the Year - Retail

This award recognises excellence in the development of retail projects.

The award is open to developments that are predominantly retail in nature (>75% of Gross Floor Area) and may include regional, sub-regional and/or neighbourhood shopping centres, CBD centres, high streets, retail precincts and laneways, large-format retail and / or bulky goods, factory and food outlet centres.

Temporary retail activations of more than 6 months duration are also eligible.

Development of the Year - Commercial

This award recognises excellence in the development of commercial projects.

The award is open to developments that are predominantly commercial in nature (>75% of Gross Floor Area) and may include office, business parks, industrial, warehouses, data-centres and co-working spaces.

Development of the Year - Mixed Use

This award recognises excellence in the development of mixed-use precincts.

The award is open to developments that comprise a minimum of three alternative uses (e.g. retail, commercial and residential) whereby no individual use represents less than 10% of the total Gross Floor Area.

 

Development of the Year - Hotels and Accommodation

This award recognises excellence in the development of accommodation projects.

The award is open to developments of hotels, motels, serviced apartments, Purpose Built Student Accommodation (PBSA), Built-to-Rent (B2R), boarding houses, co-living and micro-units.

Development of the Year - Retirement, Aged Care and Seniors Living

This award recognises excellence in the development of projects in the retirement, aged care and seniors living sector.

Development of the Year - Social Infrastructure

This award recognises excellence in the development of projects in the social infrastructure sector.

The award is open to private and public developments such as hospitals, medical centres, music and entertainment venues, care facilities, public spaces, museums, community centres, social and affordable housing, religious centres, cemeteries, sports stadia and recreation facilities, childcare and education centres.
